Located in Sweden, this hyperscale data centre development comprised approximately 20,000m² of mission-critical infrastructure supporting multiple high-density data halls and associated technical support spaces.
AFEC International supported the main contractor through the delivery and coordination of the building services package, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, CDP package development, technical coordination, BIM integration, and construction-stage design assistance throughout the project lifecycle.
The scope included support for critical cooling infrastructure, HV and LV power distribution systems, standby power integration, containment coordination, and building services interface management within a highly serviced and fast-track construction environment. Particular focus was placed on multidisciplinary coordination, constructability review, technical compliance, and phased systems integration to support programme delivery and operational resilience requirements.
Delivered in collaboration with contractor teams, specialist subcontractors, and vendor representatives, the project demonstrates AFEC’s capability to support large-scale hyperscale data centre delivery through coordinated engineering design support, contractor-side technical integration, and mission-critical infrastructure expertise.
