Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT)
WIT has been involved in several significant construction projects to enhance its campus facilities. Key projects include the development of new research labs, lecture theatres, and student accommodation. Our role included developing and implementing advanced fire safety designs and conducting risk assessments to ensure buildings meet the highest safety standards. The integration of fire detection systems, such as VESDA, and high-pressure water mist systems was crucial to safeguarding these state-of-the-art facilities.
SEAI Pathfinder– Deep Energy Retrofit – SETU Business School
This project was a full energy upgrade with extensive internal and external refurbishment to an existing 3rd level building. The SETU business school was subject to a stage delivery though the HEA/SEAI, with the brief including a full material upgrade including external walls and windows, with airtightness upgrades, a full ventilation upgrade and a full upgrade to LED lighting. AFEC acted as design lead and Employers representative and coordinated all the relevant work stages and delivery of this PWC Contract.
