Spanning more than 600 residential properties across Ireland, this programme focused on fire risk assessment and remediation support to enhance life safety, regulatory compliance and long-term building resilience across a diverse housing portfolio. Delivered within live residential environments, the project required a carefully managed approach to technical inspection, risk analysis, and large-scale data coordination, while minimising disruption for residents.
The scope included detailed assessments of fire barriers, alarms, sprinklers, evacuation strategies, external wall systems and passive fire protection measures, supported by reviews of service penetrations, building fabric, and compliance documentation. Portfolio-wide risk profiling was undertaken through bespoke assessment matrices, while Common Data Environment protocols supported secure, auditable data management and consistent delivery across a nationally distributed asset base.
This project demonstrates AFEC’s capability to support large-scale residential safety programmes through integrated technical assessment, risk-led remediation planning and coordinated compliance strategies across complex property portfolios.
