This multi-country hyperscale data centre programme involved the delivery of new-build greenfield and brownfield facilities ranging from 20MW to 90MW per site, supporting large-scale digital infrastructure expansion across multiple campuses. Delivered under a long-term framework appointment, the programme required coordinated multidisciplinary leadership to manage complex design governance, technical integration and phased delivery across concurrent mission-critical developments.
Acting as client-side delivery consultant and lead multidisciplinary advisor, the scope included oversight of coordinated IFC design packages across civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical and fire disciplines, alongside interface management between specialist vendors, consultants and construction teams. The programme also involved technical governance, BIM coordination, approvals management and compliance with employer requirements throughout design, construction, commissioning and handover stages.
Working across parallel live programmes with estate-wide delivery exceeding 300MW, the projects demanded carefully managed delivery strategies focused on programme continuity, technical assurance and risk reduction from design through to operational handover.
This project demonstrates AFEC’s capability to support large-scale hyperscale developments through integrated client-side leadership, multidisciplinary coordination and controlled delivery of complex mission-critical infrastructure programmes.
